04. Guided visit for students (English)
Throughout a guided tour, pupils learn about the history of the Dossin barracks during World War II when they were used as a transition and detention camp for Jews and Roma. After the introductory film, a guide will take the group into the museum. They learn how the Nazis seized power, which laws they imposed on the Jews in Belgium, how the barracks evolved into a deportation center and how some people were able to escape by going into hiding. For students in secundary or higher education.

10. Individual group visit for adults (>15 pers.)
Every day of the week, except Wednesday, the museum can be visited individually. Groups (from 15 persons) can book their tickets here. This ticket allows you to visit the museum between10 am and 5 pm. You need at least 2 hours to visit the permanent exhibition.
11. Temporary exhibition Universal Primary schools
Universal human rights for aliens too? An interactive tour of the Universal. Human Rights temporary exhibition From 9 February to 11 December 2022, the Kazerne Dossin (Dossin Barracks) will welcome children from the age of 9 upwards to the temporary exhibition on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Quite a mouthful, but we will keep things easy and clear for the children! A guide will talk with the pupils and reflect on the theme of human rights during an interactive tour that stimulates the senses. Who created these human rights and why? Are they really for everyone? For aliens too? After all, they inhabit the same universe, don’t they? And what do these human rights mean for children today? Duration: 90 minutes
12.Temporary exhibition Universal Secondary school
Human rights for all? What are human rights and are they really universal? This is undoubtedly a topic for fascinating and valuable discussions with young people. On this interactive and sensory tour, pupils team up with a guide in search of hope. They discover the limitless possibilities that the members of the Human Rights Committee also experienced. Along the way, they are told about the universal and multicultural inspiration behind the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We conclude with insights into the future of people and their rights. Looking, feeling, doing, thinking and understanding - all these aspects are covered. Age: >14 years Period: from February 9 to December 22 2022 Duration: 90 minutes
